About us and your order
Do you have any retail locations i can go and visit?
We have technicians in over 290 cities throughout the US & Canada, however we do not have any retail locations. We are a warehouse to client business and conduct all of our sales online or over the phone.
How do i know if my order went through?
You will receive an email from us (within 24hrs) which includes your confirmation number.
How long will it take for me to receive my shipment?
It takes 3 to 5 business days to ship out of the warehouse (depending on the size of the order and/or menu).
Once out of the warehouse it then takes the courier service 7 to 10 business days to deliver the order.
Can i get expedited shipping?
Yes, but you are then responsible for the shipping fees.
We can provide 3 Day expedited shipping after the system leaves the warehouse, however, since the POS systems are large and heavy so the shipping cost can be as much as the system itself!
How do i contact Tech Support?
Before calling tech support you need to make sure you have a tech support ticket number otherwise the system will disconnect you.
If you do not currently have a tech support ticket, log in at Zendesk and submit a request for a support ticket. A Technician will respond to your request via email or phone within 24 hrs.
Once you have a tech support ticket number you can call the toll-free number 1-877-889-4335 and choose option 3 for tech support.
We do highly advise, however, that you and your staff read the manual that came with the system which are loaded on the desktop. We also have a large number of training videos on our YouTube channel.
Technical Questions about your POS
What are the computer system specifications for the NCR units & HP/Dell units?
System specifications are subject to alteration without prior notice.
Our current NCR units are NCR 7541 Touchscreen units with built-in motherboard, VGA and HHD. The systems is designed for use only as configured.
The Dell/HP units are 2.8 to 3.2 GHz systems with 512-1GB Ram (depending on availability), ships standard with 40GB HDD's.
If you have a specific hardware need, and/or need to load other software on a POS, you must first email Support@uTOUCHPOS.com with the specifications of the hardware/software requirements so that we can price accordingly.
What can be included on a barcode label using the barcode label software?
Plexis - You have 4 lines w/approx 20 characters per line
Maid - You have 3 lines w/approx 12 characters per line
If the back office server goes down, can the termianls still function and print to the kitchen printer?
NO, the server must be operational.
When you program my menu is there a way to see it remotely before you ship it?
No, the menu we load is a courtesy service so you have your primary items in the system upon receipt of the POS.
My barcode scanner does not work
You must first plug the scanner in to the keyboard port on the POS, then the keyboard must be plugged into the scanner.
All this must be done while the POS is off
About your POS
What is the difference between the NCR and PC systems?
An NCR is an all-in-one unit where the 12" touch screen monitor and CPU are built into one unit, the PC system has a separate monitor & PC.
Are the refurbished units in good condition?
These are pre-owned systems (unless otherwise mentioned), pulled from a working environment. They are cleaned, tested and refurbished as needed and shipped in 100% working condition. The items may have some signs of cosmetic wear, scratches, and other blemishes, but is fully operational and fuctions as intended.
This item may be a floor model or store return that has been used. Fading, discoloration, and sticker residue is common. Some recycled items may be painted and/or touched up as needed.
Functionality is always guaranteed. Pictures used in our ads are of similar units we have or standard stock photos and may not reflect actual items.
I need a scale that weighs in ounces
Weigh Scale NCI 6710 is the standard scale that is shipped out with our POS Grocery Store Bundles. If you require a weigh scale that weighs in ounces, you would need to upgrade to the NCI 6712 via the drop down menu.
Can i use a portable ordering device with this software?
Yes, with uTouchPOS, Plexis and Winrest.
Do these systems track inventory and sales?
Yes, you can even program your inventory to let you know when you need to restock.
How do i handle a custom food order with this software?
You must enter all possible items/modifiers into the inventory.
Is the system capable to control multi-store from one server?
No, however we do have this capability on custom systems. Please forwards your request to Sales@uTOUCHPOS.com
Do you provide the shared database software on the back office server?
The POS software is loaded on the server and it has all the files and databases needed.
Will my software be compatible with your POS system?
We can supply POS compatible with all POS software, but you would need to make sure by emailing us your softwares requirements to Support@uTOUCHPOS.com for final approval.
Can I use any processor I want?
Probably, but to be sure, we would need to confirm with the tech department from your processing company if they can be compatible with your uTouchPOS software, and the time scope involved in the integration. With some processors it may take weeks to do the setup so it would be a good idea to make sure that they would provide you with a temporary stand-alone unit for use until they finally set you up. Additionally there would be a monthly gateway fee associated to the setup and maintenance of your gateway for your processors use.

How do i apply for a Merchant Account with RescueGeeks
Is there a difference in warranty for new and refurbished systems?
No, both come with an extendable 1 year replacement warranty, unless otherwise covered by a manufacturer's warranty.

NETWORKING:We are not in any way able to guarantee the use of any of our POS bundles on your network and networking hardware and software support is not included with the sale of any of our POS bundles.
Before attempting to use your POS on a network:• Make absolutely sure that the network functions properly. It should have commercial-grade components and ample power.
• Confirm that you can see all your terminals/ PCs on the network.
• Hire a local IT tech to assure proper network configuration. We cannot support networking remotely.
What is Networking?Networking' is the connecting of 2 or more computers for the purpose of sharing resources like data, connection sharing, printers, files, etc.
POS users typically network PCs so POS stations can process sales and prints receipts while the main computer in the back office (which stores the database) can administer to tasks like adding and discounting inventory, printing price labels, processing settlements, communicating with clients and printing checks.
Types of Local Area NetworksWired Networks (LAN) are based up Ethernet technology - 2 or more computers in the same general location connected by RJ45 (Registered Jack) cables. Computers using different versions of Windows can be on the same network.
Wireless Networks(WLAN) utilize Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) technology are unreliable for commercial-grade applications and not supported.
